BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 20. The number of bank cards in circulation in Uzbekistan amounted to 33.5 million from January through November 2022, which is an increase of 26.4 percent compared to the same period last year (26.5 million), Trend reports, referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.
The number of payment terminals installed in the country during the specified period decreased from 432,842 to 429,156.
From January through November 2022, the value of transactions through payment terminals in Uzbekistan amounted to 158.4 trillion soums ($14 billion), which is an increase of 59.7 percent compared to the same period in 2021 (99.2 trillion soums or $8.8 billion).
