BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. Uzbekistan’s Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (NMMC) has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the South Korean People and Technology (PNT) Inc, Trend reports via NMMC.
The company’s statement said that within the framework of the memorandum, the sides will organize copper foil production on the basis of NMMC.
The memorandum was signed during the visit of the NMMC delegation to South Korea on February 9-15.
According to the company, during that period of time, a delegation from Uzbekistan also visited the plant of the PNT in Gumi city, in order to study the South Korean experience in the industrial sector. The plant produces technological equipment for the manufacturing of copper foil with a thickness of 6-8 microns.
Earlier in 2022, NMMC signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) which includes preliminary indicative conditions for financing. The fund of EDB will be used to implement the NMMC's investment program for 2022-2026 which is aimed at increasing production capacity, and production efficiency, and developing promising deposits
