Central Bank of Uzbekistan shares data on loans issued by private banks

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. The value of all loans issued by private banks of Uzbekistan amounted to 69.5 trillion soums ($6.1 billion), as of March 1, 2023, Trend reports citing the Uzbek Central Bank.

From the total value of loans issued by private banks, some 30.9 trillion soums or $2.7 billion were issued to individuals, while to legal entities – 38.6 trillion soums or $3.3 billion.

CBU notes that Kapital bank by issuing loans worth 17.1 trillion soums ($1.5 billion) ranked first among Uzbekistan's private banks.

The smallest amount of loans were issued by Uzagroeksportbank – 6 billion soums or $525,865.

The value of loans issued to legal entities and individuals by all types of Uzbek banks, as of March 1, 2023, totaled 397.6 trillion soums or $34.8 billion.

Meanwhile, the value of all loans issued by private banks of Uzbekistan amounted to 66.9 trillion soums ($5.8 billion), as of February 1, 2023, while as of January 1, 2023 - 65.3 trillion soums or $5.7 billion.

Furthermore, as of February 1, 2023, the value of loans issued to legal entities and individuals by all types of Uzbek banks totaled 391.1 trillion soums or $34.21 billion, while as of the beginning of January 2023, this indicator reached 390.04 trillion soums or $34.20 billion.
