BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. Uzbekistan and South Korea are working on doubling the figures of the trade turnover, as well as foreign direct investments, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bakhtiyor Saidov said, Trend reports.
He made the remark at the meeting with his South Korean counterpart Park Jin.
"The establishment of closer cooperation between the foreign policy agencies of the two countries, the creation of new opportunities for active business contacts, enriching the dialogue in the 'Korea + Central Asia' format, issues of peace and security, knowledge and technology exchange took the forefront in the agenda of the negotiations. South Korea has always been and will remain one of Uzbekistan's key strategic partners," he said.
The ministers expressed satisfaction with the high level of dynamics in the development of bilateral relations, the intensification of contacts at various levels, and the growth of mutual trade.
They also exchanged views on further enhancing bilateral relations in priority sectors, actively promoting economic diplomacy, cooperation within multilateral platforms, as well as regional development.
