TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 17. The launch of the M-25 (Mustakillik-25) gas chemical complex in Uzbekistan’s Surkhandarya region is scheduled for May of 2024, Trend reports.
As per data provided by Surhan Gas Chemical, company responsible for operation of the M-25, the complex will have the capacity to extract and process 5 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
As was revealed during the visit of Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the station, the cost of this project implemented on the terms of Production Sharing Agreement is estimated at $2.9 billion.
Meanwhile, a Production Sharing Agreement regarding the Uzbekistan Mustakilligi Investment Block with additional exploration and development of the M-25 gas field was signed on April 5 of 2017 between Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a consortium of Investors, while Surhan Gas Chemical Operating Company was established as the operator of the project.
Drilling work is carried out by Eriell oil service company, while the design, supply of equipment and construction of a gas processing plant, infrastructure facilities, a system for collecting, preparing and transporting gas on a turnkey basis are implemented by Enter Engineering, the largest EPC contractor in Central Asia.
Moreover, Gazprombank allocated a loan of $900 million for the export of Russian equipment for the M-25 gas field in 2021.
