TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 27. Uzbekistan exported 1.7 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth almost $1.2 billion in 2023, Trend reports.
The data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency shows that this figure increased by 1.1 percent, or 18,900 tons, year-on-year.
The main export markets for Asian fruit and vegetable products were Russia (37 percent), Pakistan (16.7 percent), China (12.3 percent), and Kazakhstan (10.3 percent).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached $62.5 billion in 2023, which is more than $12 billion, or 23.9 percent year-on-year.
Exports rose to $24.4 billion, representing an increase of 23.8 percent year-on-year. Imports totaled $38.1 billion, an increase of 24 percent compared to the same period last year.
