Volume of manufactured industrial products in Uzbekistan revealed

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 22. Uzbekistan's enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 44.6 trillion soums ($3.5 billion) in January 2024, Trend reports.

As per preliminary data of Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, the index of physical volume of industrial production amounted to 116.6 percent year-on-year.

Currently, 68,700 industrial enterprises operate in Uzbekistan, of which 11,900 (17.4 percent of the total number of operating enterprises) are located in Tashkent city, 7,600 (11.1 percent) in Fergana region, 7,300 (10.6 percent) in Tashkent region, 6,100 (8.8 percent) in Samarkand region and 5,500 (8.0 percent) in Andijan region.

Differentiation analysis of industrial output per capita for January 2024 showed a significant excess of the average national indicator (1.2 million soums or $96) in Navoi region (8.6 million soums or $689), Tashkent city (2.5 million soums or $200) and Tashkent region (2.4 million soums or $192).

In the structure of production, the largest specific weight falls on the enterprises of manufacturing industry (75.7 percent), the volume of production of which amounted to 33.8 trillion soums ($2.7 billion).

Meanwhile, according to preliminary data, Uzbek enterprises manufactured 655.8 trillion soums ($52.4 billion) worth of industrial products in 2023.
