TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 23. Uzbekistan plans to implement 7,656 projects worth $11.6 billion in 2024 within the framework of Regional Investment Programs, Trend reports.
As per data of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, this figure is $3.3 billion more year-on-year ($8.3 billion).
The share of projects in industry will be 36.6 percent (2,807 projects), in services - 50.1 percent (3,904 projects), in agriculture - 12.3 percent (945 projects).
A total of 466 projects have already been launched in January 2024 alone.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan plans to absorb foreign investments worth $7.1 billion in the first quarter of 2024.
Uzbekistan has adopted a resolution on measures to implement investment projects in the first quarter of 2024.
According to the document, the volume of direct foreign investments will amount to $6.5 billion, and loans attracted under the guarantee of the government - $630 million.
