TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 8. The share of CIS countries' exports to Uzbekistan increased by 24 percent in January 2024 year-on-year, Trend reports.
As per data of Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, the country's main partners in export of goods and services in January 2024 were Russia, China, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, France, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Their share in the total volume of exports reached 67.2 percent.
Russia’s exports to Uzbekistan amounted to $240.6 million in January 2024. China ranks second with export volume of $185 million, while Kazakhstan’s exports reached $76.3 million, France - $66.8 million, Afghanistan - $ 60.5 million and Tajikistan - $37.2 million.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's share of foreign trade turnover with CIS countries increased by 7.5 percent in January 2024 (to 34.5 percent) year-on-year.
As per data of Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, the volume of foreign trade turnover with CIS countries reached $1.44 billion. Exports amounted to $524.4 million, while the imports - $923.8 million.
In the structure of exports, 67 percent are goods, of which industrial goods account for 25 percent, food products and live animals - 10.4 percent, chemicals and similar products - 10 percent.
