TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 11. Uzbekinvest (an insurance company) extended its activities and operations in the foreign insurance market, collecting 693.4 billion soums ($55.4 million) in reinsurance premiums in 2023., Trend reports.
According to the company, Uzbekinvest ensured the collection of premiums on inward reinsurance in the amount of $53 million in 136 countries. The share of services exported in the company's insurance portfolio has increased from 0.1 percent to 48.5 percent over the last seven years.
A total of 331 reinsurance contracts were concluded with recognized transnational insurance and global reinsurance companies and brokers (Allianz SE, Germany; Zurich Insurance Group, Switzerland; Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Japan; AXA, France; People Insurance Company of China; Korean Reinsurance Company; Marsh, USA; AON, UIB, Consilium Insurance Brokers Ltd., UK, and others).
Reinsurance reimbursements to the external market have grown from $130 in the last seven years to almost $6 million in 2023.
Uzbekinvest will continue to implement measures to expand the volume of insurance and reinsurance services, increase efficiency, quality of service, and reliability at the level of international standards for its clients and international partners in 2024.
