Uzbek manufacturing enterprises' production output revealed

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 5. Uzbekistan's manufacturing enterprises produced goods worth 75.4 trillion soums ($5.9 billion) from January through February 2024, Trend reports.

The data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency shows that this indicator has increased by 18.6 trillion soums ($1.4 billion) year-on-year (56.8 trillion soums, or $4.4 billion).

The volume of manufactured goods accounted for 77.8 percent of the total industrial output during this period.

In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries accounted for 1.3 percent, medium-high-tech - 25.3 percent, medium-low-tech - 38.1 percent (35.9 percent), and low-tech - 35.2 percent (42.1 percent).

Uzbekistan’s Navoi region accounts for the biggest volume of production—14 trillion soums ($1.1 billion). Tashkent city ranked second with a production volume worth 11.9 trillion soums ($939.5 million), while Surkhandarya region has the smallest volume of production: 803.9 billion soums ($63.4 million).

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 96.9 trillion soums ($7.7 billion) from January through February 2024.
