Uzbekistan reveals gas output volume for 1Q2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 22. The volume of natural gas production in Uzbekistan amounted to 11.5 billion cubic meters from January through March 2024, Trend reports.

According to the data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this figure represents a decrease of 6.5 percent year-on-year (12.3 billion cubic meters in January–March 2023).

At the same time, the volume of produced gas condensate reached 326,300 tons from January through March 2024. This indicator is 2.13 percent higher than the same period last year (319,500 tons in January–March 2023).

Earlier in 2023, Uzbekistan produced 46.7 billion cubic meters of gas and 1.1 million tons of gas condensate.

Meanwhile, Uzbekneftegaz, a state-owned holding company in Uzbekistan's oil and gas industry, has produced natural gas in the amount of 6.9 billion cubic meters from January through March 2024.

According to the data from the company, the production of natural gas amounted to 98 percent of the planned volume. The projected volume was 7.1 billion cubic meters.
