TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 23. Electric current trade turnover in Uzbekistan amounted to $86.4 million from January through March 2024, Trend reports.
The data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency shows that this figure has increased by 62.1 percent compared to the same period last year ($53.3 million in January–March 2023).
Uzbekistan’s exports of electric current amounted to $29.3 million in the first quarter of 2024, which is 55 percent more year-on-year ($18.9 million in January–March 2023).
The electric current imports reached $57.1 million from January through March 2024, which indicates a 65.9 percent growth compared to the same period last year ($34.4 million in January–March 2023).
Meanwhile, the country's total trade turnover volume of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials amounted to $1.2 billion from January through March 2024. This figure is 44.8 percent more year-on-year ($828.5 million in January–March 2023).
Uzbekistan's exports of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials reached $204.7 million, and imports totaled $1 billion from January through March 2024.
