Five tremours were recorded near the Borujerd city in the Iranian Loristan province: three weak, and two - measuring 4.8 and 4.1 on the Richter scale. Residents were forced to spend the night on the street in some areas of the province of Lorestan, Mehr news agency reported.
According to the Seismological Center of Tehran University, the first tremour measuring 4.8 points on 12-point Richter scale was recorded at 04:22 near the Oshteren village in the Borujerd city. The second tremors measuring 4.1 points were felt in the same area at 04:40, as well as in the Borujerd and Horramabad cities. Three subsequent tremors were felt weak in those cities.
"Five tremors were recorded in the night. At present we specify whether there are casualties and destruction. According to preliminary reports, there are not any victims and destructions," Chairman of the Loristan Province Organization for Emergency Situations Reza Aryyabi said.
