Iranian security authority defused a homemade bomb on a domestic flight late Saturday, the semi-official Fars news agency reported on Sunday.
Some 131 passengers were onboard the plane headed from Ahvaz, in the southwest of Iran, to the capital Tehran, Xinhua reported.
The plane made an emergency landing in Ahvaz, 15 minutes after taking off, when finding the bomb.
Spokesman for Iran's organization of aviation Reza Jafarzadeh said the bomb was discovered at 22:45 local time (1815 GMT) and that the plane landed in Ahvaz at 22:57 (1827 GMT), Iran's official IRNA news agency said.
The incident caused no casualties due to great actions of the Islamic Republic Revolutionary Guards' security officials, Jafarzadeh was quoted as saying.
