U.S. president Barack Obama said Iran has a right to possess peaceful atom.
Obama said in Cairo that Iran has a right to possess peaceful nuclear technology, CNN Turk reported.
Obama arrived in Cairo on June 4 and addressed the Muslim world which he says "will put an end to differences and disputes between Islamic world and the U.S."
Many Western countries and the United States fear that Tehran develops nuclear program for military purposes while Iran claims nuclear program only aims to meet country's energy needs.
