The Central Election Commission of Iran stated that the presidential election completed at 19:00 local time, IRINN television channel reported.
Earlier it was reported that the election started at 08:00 Tehran time would complete at 18:00. The Commission stated that it would extend the election time by one hour due to active participation of people in the elections. The Interior Minister Sadig Mahsuli said that the results of the elections will be announced in morning hours on Saturday.
Furthermore, the CEC stated that due to requests on voting, the election time was extended by one more hour in several cities of Iran.
