Chairman of the Tehran Islamic Council's Naming Commission Masuma Abad said a street in the Iranian capital may be named after U.S. activist Rachel Corrie, the Fars news agency reported.
According to Abad, an inquiry has been sent to the Foreign Ministry on the matter. After receiving a reply, the issue will be put to vote.
U.S. activist, 23-year-old Rachel Corrie was crushed to death in the Gaza Strip by an Israeli military bulldozer as she attempted to prevent the Israeli armed forces from demolishing Palestinian homes.
