International organizations have awarded individuals who have not done anything for human rights, Secretary of the Iranian Human Rights Council Javad Larijani said.
"We have repeatedly witnessed this, and we can cite Shirin Ebadi as an example," he said.
In 2003, Ebadi won the Nobel Prize. In Iran, she was a lawyer representing political activists. In 2009, after the presidential elections, Ebadi left the country and now lives abroad.
According to Larijani, Ebadi is known as a human rights defender, but she has not taken any steps to develop human rights, the ISNA news agency reported.
According to the secretary, Ebadi repeats the words of the U.S. and UK foreign ministries.
