Rapporteur of the Majlis Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy Kazem Jalali on Monday decried the UK Embassy's direct link with BBC in anti-Iran propaganda, IRNA reported.
Jalali made the remarks in reaction to awarding in London of British ambassador to Tehran Simon Gass 'for his anti-Iran campaign.'
Speaking to IRNA, he said the Royal award and medals are awaiting the servants of the UK hegemony.
He criticized the British ambassador for inaction to expand relations between the two countries. 'But, rather he forged collaboration with the opposition group in the Islamic Republic of Iran.'
Jalali said that the Royal award for the British ambassador proved that Simon Gass has ignored the diplomatic criteria he was expected to observe.
Gass was appointed Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (KCMG) by the UK queen in the 2011 New Year Honors.
Simon Gass is under fire in Iran for publishing an article on the UK Embassy website deemed interference in Iranian internal affairs.
He was summoned to Iranian foreign ministry for explanation over the article.
