Iran: Ahmadinejad Chief of Staff in Albania to invite for Norooz ceremony

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said the country's President Chief of Staff Esfandiar Rahim- Mashaei has headed to Albania to invite President Bamir Topi to Iran's international Norooz (Persian New Year) ceremony.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said the country's President Chief of Staff Esfandiar Rahim- Mashaei has headed to Albania to invite President Bamir Topi to Iran's international Norooz (Persian New Year) ceremony, ISNA reported.

Mashaei has left for Albania on Thursday morning.

"Mashaei is to submit letter of invitation of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to his Albanian counterpart Bamir Topito to take part in global Norooz celebration to be held in Iran," Mehmanparast said.

He reiterated that the trip is not in line with jobs of Iranian Foreign Ministry or bilateral issues.

Iran is to hold global Norooz celebration early March before its New Year, Mehmanparast said adding the country is to host an international conference early Iranian New Year and is inviting some heads of states.

Iranian President has appointed envoys to submit letters of invitation, Mehmanparast added.
