Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will attend the annual session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Iranian FM spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said, Fars News Agency reported.
Deputy Head of Iranian President's press-service Mohammad Hassan Salehi rejected information about the upcoming visit of Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi to New York for the participation in the UN General Assembly instead of Iranian President.
Last year, Ahmadinejad's speech at the UN General Assembly resulted in scandal. He said the U.S. administration was involved in the 9/11 tragedy. The U.S. delegation left the meeting during Ahmadinejad's speech.
