OPEC's Secretary General Abdullah Salem El Badri will visit Iran on Nov. 1, Mehr News Agency reported.

El Badri will arrive in Iran upon the invitation of Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Ghasemi, who chairs the oil cartel. Preparatory work is underway on his visit.

Leonid Bokhanovsky, Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), is also expected to arrive in Iran.

On Tuesday, Mehr reported that Ghasemi will advise the members of the OPEC to maintain the current level of crude oil production at the group's next meeting in Vienna on December 14.
