Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi arrived in Iraqi capital Baghdad Sunday to discuss major bilateral, regional and international issues with senior Iraqi officials, IRNA reported.

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi arrived in Iraqi capital Baghdad Sunday to discuss major bilateral, regional and international issues with senior Iraqi officials, IRNA reported.

Salehi was officially welcomed by his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari upon his arrival.

Salehi is due to hold talks with Iraqi senior officials including President Jalal Talabani, Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki and Foreign Minister Zebari about mutual relations, developments in Iraq, in the region and the Arabic and Islamic countries.

The Iranian minister left Doha, Qatar for Iraq, winding up his visit to the Persian Gulf's southern state.

In Doha, he held talks with Qatari Emir and other senior Qatari officials about mutual relations and regional developments.
