Iran's first petro refinery will be under way by the middle of the next Iranian calendar year (starts on 21 March) and jet fuel will be produced by Iran's Abadan refinery, Mehr news cited an official with the National Iranian Oil Refining & Distribution Company (NIORDC) as saying.
Getting the refinery underway will give Iran the ability to produce propylene as a value added chemical product, Abadan oil refinery's managing director, Abdol Reza Mehraban, told Mehr news. The refinery's propylene producing capacity is to be 250 tons daily, according to Mr Mehraban.
