Iran has exported over 9.3 million tons of cement in the first eleven months of the current calendar year (ended on February 19) -- a 17 percent rise compared to the same period last year, the IRNA news agency reported.
Clinker exports reached 1.5 million tons.
Previously, Iranian Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari announced that the country's current cement production capacity is 74 million tons.
Ghazanfari added that with new projects the figure will reach 110 million tons by the end of the Fifth Five-Year Economic Development Plan (2010-2015).
