Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have agreed on a probe of alleged nuclear weapons projects and a deal would soon be signed, IAEA chief Yukiya Amano said Tuesday after returning from Tehran to Vienna, DPA reported.
Amano said that minor differences still remained after his talks with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Saeid Jalili on Monday.
"There remain some differences, but Mr Jalili elaborated the difference will not be an obstacle to reach an agreement," Amano told reporters as he arrived at Vienna airport.
His announcement came only 24 hours before the next round of nuclear talks between Iran and six world powers - the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China - in Baghdad.
Amano said access to the Parchin military site near Tehran, where the IAEA wants to look for signs of possible nuclear warhead tests, would be part of the agreement.
