The U.S. dollar and the Azadi gold coin were respectively sold at 17,520 rials and 6.63 million rials on the free market on Tuesday.
The gold coin price rose by 50,000 rials compared to the previous day, Fars News Agency reported.
The price on each ounce of gold fell by $7 on international markets to reach $1,573.
