The Iranian parliament dismissed Labor and Social Affairs Minister Abdolreza Sheikholeslami during impeachment voting, MEHR news agency reported.

The impeachment reason was continuing appointment of Saeed Mortazavi as the head of Iran's social security organization, despite decision of the court to dismiss him from this post.

The voting results was 192 votes in favor, 56 votes against and 24 votes were abstentions.

Eighteen MPs have undersigned the impeachment motion.

On January 14, Iran's administrative court of justice announced that the head of Iran's social security organization, Saeed Mortazavi is to be dismissed from his post, Mehr reported.

Court's spokesman, Ali Akbar Bakhtiari said the court has made the statement, and Mortazavi will be dismissed from his position.

Back in August 2012, Iran's First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi said said Mortazavi will remain at his position as head of Iran's social security organization.

A parliamentary report issued on January 10, 2010 blamed Mortazavi for sending 147 inmates, charged with involvement in the political unrest that occurred after the Iranian presidential election of June 2009, to the substandard Kahrizak detention center on July 9, 2009.

In 2011, Tehran's Military Court dismissed Mortazavi after a series of tragic incidents in the Kahrizak Prison.

The court discussed cases over two other judges in connection to the incident. The court dismissed all three persons from their posts.
