Kazakhstan, Astana, Feb. 4 /. Trend D. Mukhtarov/
If a consensus is reached with all interested parties on holding a meeting of the 'Group of Six' on the Iranian nuclear programme in Astana, it will be held on Feb.25, 2013, official representative of the Central Communications Service under the President of Kazakhstan Altai Abibullayev said at a briefing on Monday.
"Kazakhstan is ready to ensure all the conditions for the work of the 'Group of Six' representatives,", Abibullayev said.
Earlier, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov said that Kazakhstan is ready to provide a platform and ensure comfortable conditions for holding negotiations between the international community and Iran on the country's nuclear programme.
The U.S., other Western countries and Israel suspect Iran of developing nuclear weapons under the guise of a peaceful nuclear energy programme. Tehran denies the charges saying its nuclear programme is for civilian purposes.
