A relatively strong quake measuring 4.5 on Richter scale jolted Goharan district in southern province of Hormozgan on Wednesday evening, IRNA reported.
According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 20:39 hours local time (16:09 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 26.87 degrees latitude and 57.74 degrees longitude and in depth of 10 kilometers underground.
There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.
