Six people charged of rape were hanged in the Iranian Ahvaz city of the Khuzestan province today morning, Fars news agency reported.
Iranian court has sentenced them to death by hanging due to rape offending crimes in promenades of Khuzestan Province's Shoushtar city.
It should be recalled that, regional court's sentence has been approved by Iran's Supreme Court.
Iran ranks second, after China, in terms of the number of executions in the world. During the last 6 months, about 140 people were hanged in Iran in total.
