By: Saeed Isayev, Dalga Khatinoglu - Trend: The person that killed Iranian Deputy Industry, Mines and Trade Minister Safdar Rahmatabadi, has been arrested, Fars News agency reported on Nov. 13.
According to the report, the person was arrested in Tehran, 72 hours after the murder took place.
Fars news agency said the suspected killer had "personal motives" for murdering Rahmatabadi. It is while, Rahmatabadi`s family does not think there is a personal motive behind the incident.
Rahmatabadi was been killed by an unidentified gunman in Tehran on November 10. He was shot twice in head and chest on Golbarg Street, an Eastern neighborhood of the capital, Tehran.
Previous police reports indicated that the bullets were shot from inside the victim's vehicle and the killer was talking to Rahmatabadi before shooting him.
Iran's Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs Ali Abdollahi said that the arrested person has plead guilty to the committed crime, adding that the killer was acquainted with the official.
