BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. The non-oil trade turnover between Iran and Georgia was 459,000 tons worth $306 million during 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through February 19, 2024), Trend reports via Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
The IRICA's data showed that in the reporting period, this figure fell by five percent in value but rose by 7.12 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
Thus, the non-oil trade turnover between Iran and Georgia stood at 429,000 tons worth $322 million over 11 months in the previous Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023).
The main goods traded between the two countries were agricultural and food products, various types of construction materials, petrochemical products, mining minerals, various types of tractors, wood and wood materials, medical supplies, etc.
In the 11th month (January 21 through February 19, 2024), Iran’s non-oil trade with Georgia amounted to 40,400 tons worth about $24.3 million.
Overall, Iran’s total non-oil trade with the world for the reporting period was approximately $139 billion, representing an increase of 4.84 percent in value and 2.7 percent in volume from the same period last year.
