BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. Iran's non-oil export from Georgia edged up by 11 percent in value and 9.56 percent in volume during 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through February 19, 2024), Trend reports via Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
The IRICA's data showed that Iran exported 415,000 tons of non-oil products worth over $176 million from Georgia in the reporting period.
However, in the same period last year, Iran exported 379,000 tons of products worth $159 million from Georgia.
Furthermore, according to data from IRICA, Georgia was the primary destination for Iran's exports of a wide range of goods, such as different kinds of tractors, wood and wood products, medical supplies, etc.
In the 11th month (January 21 through February 19, 2024), Iran's product export to Georgia was 38,000 tons of products worth $17.3 million.
Additionally, as IRICA's data showed, in 11 months, about 125 million tons of products worth about $44.9 billion were exported abroad by Iran. The country's non-oil exports decreased by 8.87 percent in value and 11.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
