(IHLAS) - EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn visited the Turkish capital Ankara on Tuesday to celebrate the first anniversary of the start of Turkey's EU membership talks.
Commissioner Rehn who was welcomed by Turkish officials and EU Commission representative to Turkey Hans Jorg Kretschmer at the airport. Rehn made a press statement and said that he was going to meet with Turkish Prime Minister Tayyib Erdogan and Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul as well as other high ranked Turkish officials to discuss the Cyprus issue. Mentioning the importance of the conference he also said that he was going to attend a conference about trade union rights and social dialogue in Turkey, reports Trend.
