(autoinsidernews) - Once again a prototype of Chevrolet's limited-edition super Corvette, a.k.a. Blue Devil, has been caught on camera. Positioned well above the current ultimate Vette, the superb Z06, the tacked on hood scoop indicates that something special is under the hood. Spy photographers have previously reported hearing the tell-tale whine of what is expected to be a supercharged 6.2L V8 developing up to 650-hp, reports Trend.
Production of the $100,000 super Corvette is expected to start in early 2008. It is still unknown what the car will be called, but Z07, Blue Devil, SS and Sting Ray have all been heard at one time or another.
