Iran's FM in S Arabia to attend OIC meeting

(IRNA) - Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Saturday morning to attend an extraordinary session of the Executive Committee of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).

Mottaki, who is heading a delegation, was welcomed at Jeddah's international airport by Iranian Ambassador to Riyadh Hossein Sadeqi, members of the Iranian permanent mission in the OIC and heads of Iranian institutes based in Jeddah, reports Trend.

The OIC's Executive Committee is holding an extraordinary session in Jeddah on Saturday to discuss recent developments in Palestine, particularly last week's crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Beit Hanoun.

Qatar, Malaysia, Senegal, Yemen, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are the member states of the OIC Executive Committee.

The committee's meetings are also attended by past, current and future heads of OIC summits and meetings of foreign ministers.
