(Itar-Tass) - Russia will supply nuclear fuel to Ukraine's nuclear power plants without any additional economic or political terms until 2010, an aide of the Russian Federation Atomic Energy Agency head, Sergei Novikov, reports Trend
An agreement on export of fuel to Ukraine's 15 nuclear-power generating units Ukraine's Energoatom and Russia's TVEL corporation had signed will be in force until 2010 and will be implemented, he said.
Nuclear agreements are as a rule long-term. This market first of all needs predictability, reliable supplies and compliance with the contracts signed, he said.
Russia will not change the price, Novikov said denying mass media reports that Russia plans to change nuclear fuel export price for foreign nuclear power plants in 2007.
He pointed out that the contracts on fuel exports include a coordinated price-making methodology linked with the world market trends.
We will not change the price of our fuel production services. The world market changes the price for natural uranium, Novikov said.
