China hopes diplomacy will solve Iran's N-case

(IRNA) - Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang here Tuesday stressed the importance of resolving the Iran nuclear issue through diplomatic channels or other peaceful means.

Speaking to reporters, Qin reiterated Beijing's stance that the Iran nuclear dispute should be resolved through negotiations, reports Trend.

Referring to a scheduled meeting of the 5+1 Group (Britain, France, China, Russia and the US plus Germany) in Paris tonight, he said the director-general of the Department of Arms Control of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zhang Yen, will participate in the meeting.
