Iran to discuss trade ties with Latin American states in confab

(IRNA) - A conference on mutual trade opportunities between Iran and a number of Latin American states is to be held in Tehran next month, reports Trend.

Director-General of the Europe-America Trade Development Organization of Iran Abdol-Hamid Assadian said the conference will introduce mutual trade investment opportunities between Iran and Uruguay, Cuba, Brazil, Venezuela and Mexico.

He said that officials organizing the conference have contacted ambassadors of the five Latin American states to discuss the conference on several occasions.

"Unfortunately, several Iranian products are not known in Brazil," he said, adding that many Brazilians are not familiar with trade opportunities in Iran," he added.

He further referred to the good ties between Iran and Mexico and said the conference would be a good opportunity for both sides to get get to know each other's trade potential.
