( Irna ) - Libyan Prime Minister al-Baghdadi al-Mahmoudi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Tehran Tuesday night to attend foreign ministers meeting of the Caspian Sea littoral states to open this morning.
Al-Mahmoudi and his accompanying delegation were welcomed at Tehran Mehrabad International Airport by Iran's Minister of Housing and Urban Development Mohammad Saeedi-Kia.
Libyan Foreign Minister Abdel-Rahman Shalqam and Finance Minister Mohamed Ali El-Huwej as well as a number of senior economic officials are accompanying al-Mahmoudi in his two-day visit to Iran.
The Libyan premier, who is visiting Iran upon an official invitation of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is scheduled to hold talks with Ahmadinejad, First Vice-President Parviz Davoudi and Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.
Davoudi and al-Mahmoudi will address a joint press conference.
