Iran transfers 6 billion liters of crude oil, products to cold provinces in 6 months

Iran transferred 3.1 million liters of crude oil to 6 cold northwestern provinces in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year.

Iran's fiscal and calendar year starts on March 21.

The Managing Director of Northwest Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company Mohammad Hossein Hassanbeiglu said that the country also transferred 2.9 million liters of oil products to the provinces in the mentioned period, Iran's IRNA News Agency reported on September 27.

The mentioned provinces include West Azarbaijan, East Azarbaijan, Ardebil, Qazvin, Kurdestan, and Zanjan.

Hassanbeiglu added that the feeds of Tabriz refinery and Sabaland and Urmia power plants are being transferred via the company's pipelines.

"The repairing and renovation operations of the northwest regions' pipelines will be finished by the end of the current year (March 20, 2015)," he said.
