Iran's Pars Khodro car manufacturing company produced 62,303 cars in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 - October 22).

Naser Aqa-Mohammadi, the managing director of the company, said that the figure is 72 percent more compared to the same period of last year, Iran's IRNA News Agency reported on October 22.

He went on to note that the company's production in the first seven months of the current year is more than the total output of the company in the previous year (ended on March 20).

"The production line of Pars Khodro's two new models (H320 and H330) will come on stream in the next three months," Aqa-Mohammadi noted.

Some 521,585 cars have been produced in Iran in the first half of the current calendar year (March 21 - September 22).

The figure shows a 74.3-percent increase compared to the same period of time the previous year, Iran's IRNA News Agency reported on October 4.
