Iran has offered to hold the tenth meeting of the state commission on Azerbaijan-Iran cooperation in economic, trade and humanitarian spheres in Tehran. Iran's ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak Ayin presented the proposal during a meeting with Azerbaijani Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev the ministry said Sept. 11.
The minister stressed the development of relations between Iran and Azerbaijan.
He said that an Azerbaijani delegation's visit to Iran in August 2015 and meetings will be significant in expanding the ties between the two countries.
Pak Ayin said that the issues of cooperation in the field of mutual investment after the lifting of sanctions against Iran were discussed, he stressed the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of alternative energy, mining, petroleum engineering and the banking sector.
The sides exchanged views on prospects for expansion of economic relations and cooperation, implementation of tasks which were discussed within the framework of the Azerbaijani delegation's visit to Iran in August 2015, the upcoming visit of the Iranian delegation to Azerbaijan in October 2015 and the return visit of the Azerbaijani delegation to Iran at the end of this year, as well as issues of mutual interest.
