Switzerland is going to open a hotel school in Isfahan, which is a tourism hub of Iran.

Switzerland's École hôtelière de Lausanne (Lausanne Hotel School), Lausanne Hospitality Consulting, Iran's Civil Servants Pension Organization and Saba Investment Company signed a deal Feb. 20 for launching the school.

The deal was inked during a ceremony in Hotel Abbasi, Isfahan, on the sidelines of the International Travel and Hospitality Conference, Trend correspondent reported from the event venue.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Olivier Verschelde, a consultant with the École hôtelière de Lausanne, said the school will be launched in three months and will serve as a hub for hotel education not only in Iran, but also throughout the entire region.

The École hôtelière de Lausanne is a private hospitality school located in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Local news agency Mehr earlier reported that Iran has 1,100 hotels - 130 of them have four and five stars.

Iran plans to triple the number of hotels in the country before 2025.

Experts believe that by 2025, the number of the tourists arriving in Iran will increase from five million to 20 million.
