Iran produces 8 bcm of gas from South Pars phases 17 & 18

Iran has produced eight billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas from phases 17 and 18 of South Pars gas field, since their operation started in early 2015, SHANA reported June 22.

Currently, the phases are operating at half capacity.

According to the report, about 4.6 million barrels of gas condensate, 95,000 tons ethane and 148,000 tons of butane and propane, worth $1.3 billion in total, have been produced from these phases since early 2015.

The final gas production capacity of these phases is 50 million cubic meters per day.

According to the latest statistics of Iran’s Oil Ministry, the mentioned phases have been developed by 93.4 percent by March 21.

Iran is preparing to increase the output level at these phases to 28 million cubic meters per day in the second half of the current fiscal year that started March 21.
