Iran drafting food standards with Russia

Iran and Russia are in talks to reach an agreement on food standards which will facilitate Iran’s food export to Russia.
Accordingly, Iran will adopt the Russian food standards in order to make them exportable to Russia, according to Nayereh Piruzbakht, president of the National Organization for Standards, Mehr news agency reported October 5.
Iran’s standards are the same as used in European countries, while Russia and the ex-USSR member states use a different system of standards.
