Iranian company to study five oil, gas fields in country

The Iranian company Tanko has been given the permission to carry out studies at five fields of South Azadegan, Mansouri, Ab Teymour, Farzad A and Farzad B.

A contract to that effect was signed between Qolamreza Manouchehri, deputy CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, and Hossein Sharifabadi, and Hossein Sharif Abadi, head of Tanko board of directors, Shana news agency reported December 31.

South Azadegan oil field needs maintenance operations. The field’s recovery rate is only 6 percent
Farzad B gas field is estimated to contain 12.8 trillion cubic feet of recoverable reserves.

Earlier in August 2016, Indonesia’s state energy company Pertamina and National Iranian Oil Company signed a memorandum of understanding to carry out a preliminary study on Iran's Ab Teymour and Mansouri oil fields, which contain over 5 billion barrels of oil reserves.
