The exports of seven major steel factories in Iran increased by 45 percent during the first ten months of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 20, 2016-Jan. 20).

During the mentioned time, these eight factories exported 4.4 million tons of steel products, Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) reported Feb. 5.

The factories included Esfahan Steel Company(465,000 tons of exports), Mobarakeh(1.4 million tons of exports), Khuzestan (1.5 million tons of exports), Oxin (16,900 tons), Hormozgan (812,000 tons of exports), Iran Steel Alloy (34,900 tons) and Khorasan steel company (54,600 tons).

The steel producers exported 283,000 tons of steel products during the tenth Iranian calendar month (ended on Jan. 20)

Based on a 2025 outlook, Iran’s steel output is to reach 55 million tons, 15 million of which should be exported. For the current Iranian year, it is predicted that Iran will produce 18 million tons of steel, exporting 6 million tons of it.
